Im in love with the third Deltora Quest series, especially the dragons of each gem. I cant draw dragons, so I tried to draw what I think they'd look like as humans. Colored with chalk pastels and watercolors.
From left to right:
The Amethyst Dragon: He's one of my favs. Very angsty though, the weakest of the dragons because the magical sleep drained the poor darling of his energy. He's true name is Veritas (which has ties to the Latin word for truth)
The Diamond Dragon: (the little child tugging Amethyst's sleeve) His mother sadly was eaten alive while she slept, but he, still in his little egg, survived to be revived by Lief. From the little sections of him in the book, he seems to be a very cheeky, darling little boy.
The Topaz Dragon: Very aloof and slightly cold. He was hardly mentioned in the book, but hell, he looks cute here! ^^
The Ruby Dragon: Very very aristocratic. He was very elegant, and always smiled warmly. I fell in love with him! ^^
The Lapis Lazuli Dragon: This guy is so spunky! ^^ Very merry and boisterous, even singing happily while flying. I love this guy too!
The Emerald Dragon: Extremely military like, and upholds honour to the extreme. My least fav. He hurt Lapis Lazuli for entering his territory then proceeded to enter Amethyst's realm! Talk about a hypocrite! Grrr!
Eh heh. I haven't read book 4, hence the lack of the Opal Dragon. But don't worry. He'll be coming next! ^^
I'm just wandering around DA a bit and I come to your page and this is up. I really like how you colored just the hair. It really makes then stand out more.
I was wondering why you had left out Hopian (the opal dragon). I love Forta(diamond) espescially because my b-day is in April (birthstone of April is diamond). It's so sad that her mom had to die that way. but oh well.
Oh ya, isn't Veritas a guy?
